“Monday 11th June was a day I will never forget. During the four years that it took for me to plan for this auction I never dreamt that the sale would be as successful as it turned out to be. Due to nerves, I decided not to be present for the auction and spent two hours calming down under a tree in Hyde Park. When I finally returned to Christies it was to the wild excitement of those who had been present.
I have been left with a deep sense of gratitude and the realization that my success is very much a team effort comprising of collectors, colleagues, family and friends! Thank you all for your support! This sale has brought to a close the first phase of my career. I no longer sculpt the big cats having shifted my creative focus on to the human figure. As I embark on this new journey the greatest gift this auction has given me is time, time to reinvest into my career by exploring and experimenting in my work without financial worry. I really needed this window period to take my work to the next level. I am truly excited by this prospect and will keep you updated as it unfolds. Once again thank you for your support.
